Introduction
At lost end found Ltd, we are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how Vinyl Vault for Discogs ("the App") handles your data.
The Short Version
Vinyl Vault does not collect, store, or transmit any of your personal data. The App connects to Discogs using OAuth to access your collection and wantlist. Your Discogs credentials are stored securely in your device's Keychain. There is no analytics, no telemetry, no tracking.
Data Collection and Use
No Data Collection
We do NOT collect:
- Personal information or identifiers
- Usage analytics or telemetry
- Information about your music collection
- Crash reports or diagnostics
- App usage patterns
- Purchase history or marketplace activity
Discogs Integration
Vinyl Vault connects to the Discogs API using OAuth 2.0 to access your collection, wantlist, and marketplace data. This connection is established directly between your device and Discogs' servers. We never see or store your Discogs data.
Local Storage
Your Discogs OAuth credentials are stored securely in your device's Keychain (iOS) or Keychain Access (macOS). Collection data may be temporarily cached locally for performance but is never transmitted to our servers.
Network Access
The App only communicates with:
- Discogs API (api.discogs.com) - To access your collection and marketplace data
- Discogs OAuth (discogs.com/oauth) - For secure authentication
The App does not communicate with any lost end found servers or third-party analytics services.
Third-Party Services
Discogs
When you sign in to Discogs through the App, you are subject to Discogs' Privacy Policy. We recommend reviewing their policy to understand how they handle your data.
No Analytics or Tracking
Vinyl Vault does not integrate with any analytics services, crash reporting tools, or tracking SDKs. There are no cookies, pixels, or trackers.
Data Security
All communication with Discogs is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS. Your OAuth credentials are stored using iOS Keychain and macOS Keychain Services, which provide hardware-backed encryption on supported devices.
Children's Privacy
The App does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children. However, use of the App requires a Discogs account, which has its own age requirements.
Your Rights
Since we don't collect your data, there's nothing for us to delete, modify, or export. Your collection data remains with Discogs, and you can manage it through your Discogs account. You can revoke the App's access at any time through your Discogs account settings.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page. Since the App does not collect data, significant changes to our privacy practices are unlikely.
