Terms of Service — Tidybox AI

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Tidybox AI ("the App") provided by lost end found Ltd ("we", "us", or "our"). By using our App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Tidybox AI, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our App.

2. Description of Service

Tidybox AI is a paid macOS application that uses on-device AI to organize files within folders you select. The App:

Scans folders and extracts file content using OCR, PDF parsing, and metadata analysis
Uses Apple's Foundation Models to suggest folder structures and file names
Provides a review interface for approving proposed changes
Executes file moves and renames with full undo support
Operates entirely offline with no server component

The App moves and renames files on your Mac based on your explicit approval. While we provide undo functionality, you are responsible for ensuring you have appropriate backups of important files. We recommend reviewing all proposed changes carefully before executing them.

4. User Obligations

When using our App, you agree to:

Use the App only for lawful purposes
Not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
Not redistribute or resell the App
Maintain appropriate backups of files before using the organization features

5. Intellectual Property

The App and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by lost end found Ltd and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

6. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle your information. In summary: we don't collect any data. All processing happens on-device.

7. AI-Generated Suggestions

Organization suggestions are generated by Apple's on-device Foundation Models. While we strive for useful and accurate results, AI suggestions may not always be optimal for your specific needs. Always review the proposed plan before executing changes. The App provides a full review interface and per-file controls for this purpose.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

Warranties of merchantability
Fitness for a particular purpose
Non-infringement
That the App will correctly categorize all files
Accuracy or suitability of AI-generated organization suggestions

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, lost end found Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use or inability to use the App.

10. App Store Terms

If you downloaded the App from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that these Terms are between you and lost end found Ltd only, and not with Apple. Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance and support services with respect to the App.

11. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the App at any time, with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the App.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to this page. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
