The Short Version

Electron Detector does not collect, transmit, or store any of your data. The App runs entirely on your Mac. It reads app bundle metadata from your Applications folder to identify frameworks. That's it. There is no server, no analytics, no telemetry, no tracking.

Data Collection and Use

No Data Collection

We do NOT collect:

• Personal information or identifiers
• Usage analytics or telemetry
• Information about your installed applications
• Crash reports or diagnostics
• App usage patterns

Local Processing Only

All scanning and analysis happens locally on your Mac. The App reads the contents of app bundles in your /Applications folder to detect frameworks (e.g., checking for the presence of "Electron Framework.framework" inside an app bundle). No scan results are stored or transmitted.

Network Access

The App does not make any network requests. It has no server component and does not communicate with any external service.

File Access

The App reads the /Applications directory, which is accessible under the macOS App Sandbox by default. It only reads app bundle metadata (framework directories, bundle contents) to identify the technology used. It does not read personal files, documents, or user data.

Third-Party Services

Electron Detector does not integrate with any third-party services, SDKs, or analytics platforms.

Children's Privacy

The App does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page. Since the App does not collect data, significant changes to our privacy practices are unlikely.
